Enhance students’ understanding of HKTB’s work
To foster students’ understanding of HKTB’s work, the HKTB rolled out its community outreach initiatives in various universities, tertiary institutes and secondary schools including Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University, Community College of City University, HKU SPACE and IVE. In the 1st semester of 2016/17 academic year, the HKTB successfully held 12 talks and sharing sessions, and reached out to over 700 students to enhance their knowledge about tourism industry and HKTB’s promotion work in overseas markets.

Share HKTB’s creative marketing strategies with Chinese officials
Invited by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the HKTB’s Deputy Executive Director, Ms Becky Ip, participated in a discussion panel with industry partners to share HKTB’s creative initiatives and promotion strategies in mainland China with Chinese officials and tourism industry delegates.

HKTB supports local shopping malls
Diverse shopping experience is essential to a shopping mall. To support local shopping malls, the HKTB’s Deputy Executive Director, Ms Becky Ip, attended the “Experiential Marketing Brilliance Awards Hong Kong 2016”organised by Metro Finance as an officiating guest and presented certificates to the top 10 finalists.

Explain HKTB’s digital marketing strategies in Mainland China
Mr Anthony Lau, the Executive Director of HKTB, joined the International Smart Tourism Conference held by Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hangzhou and explained to Chinese officials and professionals the HKTB’s mainland digital marketing strategies and its successful campaigns in summer promotion window.
