Invitation for Application – Hong Kong Transit Programme & Hong Kong Extended Stay Programme

We are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government allocated an additional funding to HKTB in this financial year to enhance Hong Kong’s destination appeal and boost arrivals. Therefore, to encourage our trade partners to develop a broader variety of tourism products, two funding programmes are introduced:

  1. Hong Kong Transit Programme targets transit visitors arriving Hong Kong during day time with a stopover of more than six hours to explore beyond the airport. It aims to stimulate visitor spending in town.
  2. Hong Kong Extended Stay Programme aims to prolong visitors’ length of stay by encouraging them to stay in Hong Kong hotels for three nights or more.

The two funding programmes will provide incentives to local trade partners to create more diverse experience-based tourism products. The programmes are now open for application, details are as follows:

Hong Kong licensed travel agents handling inbound travel business (with ordinary membership of Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong)
