Feature QTS Scheme Advertorials
in Print

To promote the QTS Scheme and its benefits to visitors and QTS-accredited merchants, a four-page advertorial was placed in both Next Magazine and Eastweek Magazine for two issues in March. It featured QTS-accredited merchants sharing how the Scheme helped them elevate the quality of their service standards and establish a quality image for their business. With these advertorials, Hong Kong's reputation for hospitality and service excellence as a prominent tourist destination was successfully demonstrated. Advertorial placements will be continued as one of the means to promote QTS-merchants.

Promoting QTS Merchants through
Social Media Integration

In addition to traditional print media, HKTB also leveraged the power of online social media platforms. HKTB has teamed up with OpenRice, the popular dining portal, to launch the QTS micro site from April 2013 until the first quarter of 2014. The micro site features information on the QTS Scheme, accredited restaurants and interesting dining tips. Website banner ads and eDMs have also been distributed to OpenRice members to promote the micro site.

Furthermore, a social media marketing programme,
"Meet the Locals", was launched on Facebook and DiscoverHongKong.com. It highlights specialty products from selected QTS-accredited merchants to illustrate the city’s immense variety of shopping treasures.

In addition, taking QTS-accredited merchants to a wider audience, ten famous Korean bloggers were invited to visit Hong Kong's QTS-accredited merchants during May and June. They were impressed by the superb services provided by these merchants and highly recommended to visit the shops with a QTS sign in their blogs.

Elevating Service Standards by Awarding Excellent Service Staff

Outstanding QTS Merchant Award every year recognises a number of accredited merchants that provide exceptional services. This year, the award features a new category, Outstanding QTS Merchant Service Staff Award, to acknowledge the top-performing individuals and promote a culture of service excellence among QTS-accredited merchants and their staff.

Congratulations to the finalists who have made through two stages of assessment among a strong list of contenders. Please click here for the list of finalists.

Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes will be awarded in each of the sub-categories, and the winners will be invited to the award presentation ceremony held on 9 October 2013.

Online e-Marketing Insights for QTS Merchants

HKTB is a supporting organisation in the American Express "Small Business Goes Social" Training Series. A series of online marketing seminars aims to help small businesses engage customers and capture business opportunities through social and mobile media channels.

The first and second seminars, "Gain Insights from Winning e-Solutions" and "Online-to-Onsite: The Next Big Thing for Retail & Catering", were successfully held on 30 July and 17 September respectively, attracting over 400 QTS-accredited merchants. The two seminars featured prominent guest speakers to share their insights and experiences with participants.

The third seminar, "Empowering the Productivity of SME through Cloud and Mobile Tools", will be held on 12 November 2013. Each QTS-accredited merchant can enjoy two FREE seats at each session. Please click here for details!
