Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Travel Trade Cooperation Summit (21 December 2017)

HKTB and TIC successfully organised the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Travel Trade Cooperation Summit” at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 21 December 2017, with the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) and the Airport Authority Hong Kong as supporting organisation and sponsor, respectively. About 300 representatives from respected organisations, including the CNTA, government organisations and tourism associations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area (the Bay Area), as well as representatives from the travel trade participated in the event. The event aimed to provide participants a more in-depth understanding of the development of and opportunities for the Bay Area, and encourage them to develop more unique multi-destination travel products for visitors in the near future.

 

A signing ceremony for the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Travel Trade Cooperation Agreement” was held at the event, at which 11 representatives of tourism associations in the Bay Area pledged to join hands to drive tourism development in the region.

 

Academics and guest speakers with expertise on the subject were also invited to share their insights on the tourism resources of and opportunities for the Bay Area from various perspectives.
