Hong Kong • Live in Kuala Lumpur (7-12 November 2017)

Hong Kong has been a preferred travel destination for Malaysians for many years. To showcase the city’s latest offerings and attract more Muslim family to visit Hong Kong, HKTB joined hands with eight major attractions, including Big Bus Tours, DukLing, Hong Kong Disneyland, Madame Tussauds, Ngong Ping 360, Ocean Park, Peak Tramway and sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, to organise a six-day promotion “Hong Kong • Live in Kuala Lumpur” at Suria KLCC, a premier shopping mall in Malaysia.

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of HKSAR, Mr Rimsky Yuen, Secretary for Justice of HKSAR and Dr Peter Lam, Chairman of HKTB, along with Muslim celebrity family The “Schawal” Family and Malaysian celebrity Ms Ann Qi, were invited to officiate the opening ceremony.

The venue was specially decorated with a spectacular floral display and the giant LT Duck, demonstrating Hong Kong’s uniqueness and vibrancy. Customised 3D installations and interactive AR games were set onsite for visitors to experience the iconic Hong Kong attractions. A Muslim corner displaying Hong Kong’s many Muslim-friendly offerings was also arranged. Moreover, visitors were able to enjoy exclusive Hong Kong packages offered by Malaysia’s top travel agencies and airlines.

Hong Kong • Live in Kuala Lumpur successfully attracted 120,000 visitors and reached out to the Muslim segment.
