Starting on Saturday, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is organising “Harbour Chill Carnival” on the evenings for five consecutive weekends along the Wan Chai waterfront. A series of exhilarating entertainment events of pop culture, music and street performances from around the world will be held along the Wan Chai waterfront for five consecutive weekends, providing visitors with a free and fun experience of Victoria Harbour this summer!
The HKTB invites the public to join this summer holiday extravaganza. Here are some tips for pariticpants to fully enjoy the new summer sensation:
About “Harbour Chill Carnival”
1. Getting around
- A five-minute walk from exit A3 of Exhibition Centre Station on MTR via footbridge or a tenminute walk from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Please follow the on-site instructions to reach the venue.
- No parking is available at Harbour Chill Carnival. The public are advised to arrive by means of public transport.
2. Will crowd control by exercised?
- The organiser will closely monitor actual participation situation and assess the needs of crowd control, such as restricting access to certain entrances and exits only. Traffic may be affected in the area. Please stay informed with the latest information on site and on the event website.
3. Are tickets needed for all events?
- “Harbour Chill Carnival” stages a series of events, among which Music Shows in the Harbour is the only ticketed event. Members of the public can admit ticket-free at Wan Chai waterfront for all other entertainment activities during the event period, including street performances, Xgame performances and A Symphony of Lights Waterfront Pyrotechnic Edition.

4. Shall I arrive in advance?
5. Do I need to present my ticket?
- Yes. Individual QR codes for each ticket will be scanned upon admission. Each QR is available for entry for one for once only and will expire after admission.
- Please have your QR code ready and ensure that the QR code can be connected to an active account on the Discover Hong Kong e-platform.
6. How are seats allocated?
- There will be no seating and no designated slots at the Music Shows.
- For security reasons, the venue will be zoned into different areas. Participant may choose any of the zones with adequate space upon admission.
7. What are the adverse weather arrangements for the Music Shows?
- The HKTB will make arrangements for the weather conditions accordingly. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above is in effect within three hours before the event, the concert will be cancelled. Please pay attention to the relevant announcements (Link).
- If the adverse weather affects the preparation of the Music Shows, the relevant sessions maybe cancelled. Participants should pay attention to the announcement of the organiser in advance.
8. Can I pass my ticket to someone else?
- All tickets are non-transferrable and not for resale. Please keep the tickets with care and do not disclose your QR code to avoid admission by others.

- 25 local and overseas performing troupes of different styles take turns to perform and interact with the audience at the Wan Chai Promenade
X-Game performances
- Featuring some of the best local, Mainland and Japanese BMX and skateboarding athletes showcasing their skilled moves at an outdoor X-game performing zones
A Symphony of Lights Waterfront Pyrotechnic Edition
- In the month starting on 8 July, A Symphony of Lights will feature special lighting effects
- A special Waterfront Pyrotechnic Edition will be staged on the 10 evenings of the carnival
Sips & Bites
- Refreshment such as siu mai, popcorns, beers and sparkling wines are available on-site for participants’ enjoyment.

Music Shows in the Harbour
- A stage will be set up on the water surface to host the 20 sessions of Music Shows with musical experience of a wide spectrum, highlighting new generation music style
- 40+ Hong Kong , Mainland, Taiwan and overseas performing groups
- Standing shows with no allocated seats
- Tickets will be distributed for free on 27 June and 17 July on HKTB’s eplatform on a first-come, first-served basis.
