Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2026

Nature: Arts, Arts / Cultural, Festivals
Organiser(s): Leisure and Cultural Services Department
Description: The fourth edition of the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival kicks off in April, offering stage performances, thematic exhibitions, film screenings, library activities and outreach activities that guide audiences into a cultural space where imagination meets reality. Enjoy diverse creations showcasing the innovative, boundary-crossing spirit of Hong Kong's pop culture.

A highlight of the festival, the outdoor installation Pop Unboxed is co-curated with the Hong Kong Design Institute and led by a new generation of designers. Using ‘beyond fantasy’ creativity, it deconstructs Hong Kong’s pop culture through music, fashion, comics and original IP. Four themed showcases blend heritage and innovation, from a new Ten Brothers art toy with reimagined comics to a cinematic neon check-in zone, surreal avant-garde fashion and a curated showcase of vinyl covers by legendary female singers presented alongside the works of a virtual singer.
