| Hong Kong’s Bar Leone is named number 1 by “The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025” as the first-ever Asian bar to top the global ranking |
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has brought “The World’s 50 Best Bars” awards ceremony to the city for the first time, after the “Asia’s 50 Best Bars” was hosted in Hong Kong a year ago. The dazzling ceremony was held today (8 October) at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, bringing together more than 1,000 bar owners and investors, mixologists, and media representatives from around the world, witnessing Hong Kong’s homegrown Bar Leone topping the list as the first-ever Asian bar to be crowned the World’s Best Bar. The global spotlight brought by the awards ceremony gave industry leaders the opportunity to explore a curated selection of Hong Kong’s best bars, gaining insights into the city’s innovative cocktail culture and world-class bar experiences, and encouraging the development of the dynamic local bar industry.

| Bar Leone receives the “Best Bar in Asia” at “The World’s 50 Best Bars” 2025 from HKTB Deputy Executive Director Becky Ip, who expresses her delight at hosting “The World’s 50 Best Bars” awards ceremony in Hong Kong for the first time, marking its return to Asia. She says: “It brings together world’s best mixologists and highlights the city’s status on the global bar scene.” |
Lorenzo Antinori, Owner of Bar Leone, said : “To be named the number one bar in the world is not only an incredible honour for us at Bar Leone, but also a truly proud moment for Hong Kong. Two local bars were named on “The World’s 50 Best Bars” list this year. In addition to the chart-topper Bar Leone, COA was named the World’s 38th, cementing Hong Kong’s leading position in the Asian and global bar scene.
