Located in the West Kowloon Cultural District overlooking the Victoria Harbour, M+ is Asia's first global museum of contemporary visual culture. The M+ Collections from Hong Kong, Mainland China, other locations within Asia and beyond encompass visual art, design and architecture, and moving image, while offering a creative interactive experience. The building is composed of a podium and a slender tower that fuse into the shape of an upside-down "T". The expansive podium cantilevers above ground and Roof Garden faces Victoria Harbour. The tower facade facing the harbour is also embedded with an LED display for screening moving image works which can be viewed from the West Kowloon waterfront promenade and even Hong Kong Island.

Situated on the western side of Lantau Island, Tai O, which is one of the most famous fishing villages in Hong Kong, has kept the local customs and traditions intact. Mostly located on the banks of the river, it is connected by two pedestrian bridges. As the icon of Tai O, stilt house is a unique feature in Hong Kong. Tai O used to be Hong Kong's main fishing port, Garrison town, and an important site for fishing and salt industry. Today, the local economy has shifted to be more dependent on small scale fishing and small catering business for visitors. Besides, some local traditional craftsmanship like the production of shrimp block and shrimp paste can still be found in the village.

Home of the Macau Grand Prix, Macao is a city where visitors can re-live the fascinating history of this unique event and experience first-hand the exhilaration of motorsport. Exhibiting the Grand Prix cars and motorcycles from across the decades, the museum introduces the drivers, riders and teams who have made their mark on this captivating story since 1954. More than six decades of the history of motorsport is well presented in this museum, where visitors can enjoy immersive experience like no other.

Established by the national government, it is one of the first batch of major national art museums. With a total construction area of 22,000 square meters, this museum features 12 exhibition halls, including an exhibition area of 8,000 square meters and an outdoor sculpture exhibition area of 5,000 square meters. The museum's overall design and layout perfectly align with its functions.

Located in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, the museum was the former Generalissimo Mansion and has now become a nationally protected cultural heritage site. Built by Sun Yat-sen in 1917, the mansion was officially opened to the public on 1 May 2006. Along with this mansion, there are about a dozen of cultural heritage sites in Guangzhou.

Situated in the former eastern industrial zone of Oversea Chinese Town, Shenzhen, the cultural park consists of studios transformed from old factory buildings, introducing various types of creative industries, such as design, photography, animation creation, education and training, and arts. There are also some other relevant businesses, including concept restaurants, lounges, retail shops, cafes, etc.

Set on the Fenghuang Mountain, the Zhuhai Qi'ao Historical Trail (also named as Changnanjing Old Path) was developed a long time ago. Previously, it was a major path for people living in Shangshan and Guantang to go to Qianshan and Macao, and further travel to other parts of the world from Macao and Hong Kong. Besides its important role in transportation, the trail has played a major part in the East-West cultural exchange, and is also regarded as a signature spot along the "Maritime Silk Road".

The temple is situated in the centre of Foshan, an easily accessible location surrounded by bustling business districts. Founded in the Song Dynasty, this temple with a long history consists of the Ancestral Temple, the Confucius Temple, the Huang Feihong Memorial Hall and the Ip Man Hall, etc., making it a must-see attraction in Foshan. In addition to appreciating the traditional Lingnan architecture, visitors can also watch various performances such as kung fu, dragon dance and lion dance.

Also known as Dongqiao Mountain, the mountain boasts spectacular landscapes and marvellous vistas. Its main peak, Feiyun Peak, is famed for breathtaking sunrises and panoramic views. Located on the mountain, the Chongxu Ancient Temple, which is widely regarded as one of the top ten ancient temples in China, attracts thousands of disciples to visit and pray for good fortune every year. After the visit, tourists may experience a homestay and enjoy some authentic local dishes.

A cultural site situated in the Pearl River Delta, it was a bustling village where many talents lived in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the village, a large number of buildings and artistic sculptures have been preserved in a good state, including ancient fences built with rammed earth, red stones and bricks, as well as the Xie's Ancestral Hall with a classic architectural design and layout.

Connecting Shiqi in Zhongshan and Macao, the heritage trail was developed a long time ago. Previously, it was a major path for people living in Shangshan and Guantang to go to Qianshan and Macao, and further travel to other parts of the world from Macao and Hong Kong. Besides its important role in transportation, the trail has played a major part in the East-West cultural exchange, and is also regarded as a signature spot along the "Maritime Silk Road".

The Kaiping Diaolou and Villages was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2007, the only World Cultural Heritage Site in Guangdong Province. A total of 1,833 diaolou towers stand amidst the fields, in perfect harmony with the splendid countryside. An incredible fusion of Chinese and Western cultures, UNESCO experts describe it as "a complex and flamboyant fusion of Chinese and Western structural and decorative forms".

A historic town in Kaiping, the ancient town is named after the landscape on which it locates. Surrounded by rivers and old trees, the town has kept its quaint architectural style and folk customs for hundreds of years. The Qilou buildings are built along the river, creating a unique scene in the town. Most of them have never been renovated and hence maintain in their original state, making them the witness to the history.

The wall is located on Songcheng Road in Zhaoqing built in the Song Dynasty. With its commanding height situated at the Piyun Tower in the north of the city, it is the only complete defensive wall remaining in Guangdong. This landmark of Zhaoqing has been repaired many times so far, and hence consists of various types of brick walls, making it a unique site for visitors to learn about the history of the city.

Located at Xianglu Bay along Lover's Road in the downtown area, this landmark of Zhuhai was inspired by a local fairy tale. The legend of the Fisher Girl holds that she was originally a sea fairy and daughter of the Southern Sea Dragon King. After coming ashore near Zhuhai, she fell in love with this beautiful coastal city and a charming kind-hearted local fisherman. Even though the young couple's relationship was sabotaged by a jealous dwarf, resulting in misfortune befalling the sea fairy, the heartbroken fisherman did not give up and finally found a way to bring the dead fairy back to life. On the wedding day, the Sea Dragon King gifted a giant pearl to the couple as a token of their love.

While strolling through this part of the road, visitors can soak up the East-meets-West vibes and keep their eyes peeled for photogenic architectural details along the way, such as the classic arcades or the elegant facades. Despite the refurbished buildings and newly-established boutiques, people can still get on a journey to the past and enjoy every moment here. Close to it, there is Qijiang River, the main river of Zhongshan, with beautiful trees on both banks.

Comprising cliffs, lakes and caves, the crags resemble the seven brilliant stars of the Big Dipper, shrouded by expansive emerald waters. The beauty of the interestingly shaped natural formations and serene lakes rival that of Hangzhou's West Lake, Guilin's scenery and other renowned scenic spots.

Dubbed the "Emerald on the Tropic of Cancer", the national nature reserve features historic shrines such as the Baiyun Temple and Qingyun Temple, in which visitors may pray for blessings and enjoy delicious vegetarian dishes. Moreover, they will certainly be amazed by its breathtaking landscapes, centuries-old forests and beautiful waters.

Famous for its five picturesque lakes, six bridges and eighteen scenic spots, the lake is surrounded by green hills and dotted with quaint pavilions. A perfect combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage, it is the most representative historical landmark of Huizhou.

Named after "paradise" in Chinese, the Tiantang Peak is the major peak of Nankun Mountain, standing 1,210 metres above sea level. A visit in March will lead visitors to a beautiful sea of blossoming azaleas. If people choose to visit in summer, even temperatures may reach over 30°C, they will be surprised by the pleasant breezes blowing through the mountains and keeping them comfortable. Furthermore, a hot spring bath and some authentic Nankun Mountain tea are highly recommended.

Located at his birthplace, the museum is in memory of Wong Fei-hung, one of the most well-known Cantonese martial artists. Showcasing his life story, the museum has a comprehensive display of a variety of literary, artistic works as well as thousands of cultural relics relating to the king-fu master, making it a must-go attraction spot in Foshan for martial arts fans.

Humen is a town with historic and cultural uniqueness in Dongguan. Along the east bank of the Pearl River estuary, military facilities such as fortresses, walls, gatehouses, barracks, war lanes, underground channels and wells are all well-conserved in China's most complete and largest collection of preserved sea-defence relics. These facilities carry precious historical information on the Opium War, the Second Opium War, the Sino-French War, and the Humen Sea Battle of the Sino-Japanese War.

As an AAAA visitor attraction of China, the museum sits in one of the four famous gardens of the Qing dynasty in Guangdong. Well-known for its compact and exquisite Lingnan-style design, the 3.3-mu (around 2,200 square-metre) Keyuan residence comprises a series of traditional halls, courtyards and pavilions, as well as idyllic gardens and beautiful landscapes. Nowadays, Keyuan is widely seen as a significant presence in both Guanyi and Lingnan cultures, as numerous masters of Chinese culture and influential artists have chosen the garden as their place to live, including painters Ju Chao and Ju Lian, who pioneered the use of Lingnan-style painting techniques.

Located on Zhongshan 7th Road, the academy, which serves as a hall of ancestor worship, is the largest, best preserved and one of the most gorgeously decorated historical buildings in Guangdong province. All the architectural decorations in this academy (including the wood, brick and stone carvings, ceramic and lime sculptures, iron casting and paintings) make a comprehensive expression of the exquisite style of local folk art. In 2002, it was even selected as one of the Eight Sights of Guangzhou.

The culture village is a park showcasing miniatures of China's most famous sights, distributed according to their location within the country. Looking like a huge map of China, the entire park brings together the customs of the country's 56 ethnic groups through a variety of traditional performances.

As part of the World Heritage site Historic Centre of Macao and a landmark of the city, the ruins jointly refer to the facade of what was originally the Church of Mater Dei (destroyed by fire in 1835) and the ruins of St. Paul's College, which was established in 1594 and stood adjacent to the church. The St. Paul's Church was previously attached to St. Paul's College, while the archaeological remains of the college stand witness to what was Asia's first Western-style university offering an elaborate academic programme.

Existed long before the city of Macao came into being, the temple is part of the World Heritage site Historic Centre of Macao, consisting of the Gate Pavilion, the Memorial Arch, the Prayer Hall, the Hall of Benevolence, the Hall of Guanyin, and Zhengjiao Chanlin (a Buddhist pavilion). The variety of pavilions here that are dedicated to the worship of different deities within a unified complex make the A-Ma Temple an exemplary representation of the true diversity of Chinese culture.

Sitting in the very centre of Hong Kong, Tai Kwun is one of the city's largest conservation and revitalisation projects. It consists of 16 historic buildings including three groups of Declared Monuments—the former Central Police Station, Central Magistracy, and Victoria Prison.
