Special Privileges for Visitors at Hong Kong Mid-Autumn Festival (14-22 September 2013)

Hong Kong Mid-Autumn Festival successfully attracted around 430,000 visitors last year. HKTB this year will again launch the "Hong Kong Mid-Autumn Festival" campaign from 14-22 September. Highlights of this mega event are:

Lantern Wonderland
The grandest lantern of all in town, Rising Moon, will be showcased at Victoria Park. This is built according to the winning design of a competition, featuring colourful LED light and sound show to captivate all visitors.

Wishing Corridor
A walkway illuminated by strings of decorative lantern display for wish making.

Mid-Autumn Market
A festive market offers Mid-Autumn festival food, local delicacies, goodies, handcrafts and festival-related workshops for visitors to get a taste of the Chinese culture.

Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance (18-20 September)
It has been inscribed on the third national list of ”Intangible Cultural Heritage” by the Ministry of Culture in China since 2011. Three days with 300 performers and 72,000 incense sticks, the 67-metre-long dragon will wend its way through the back streets of Tai Hang. In the evening of Mid-Autumn Festival on 19 September, the Fire Dragon will dance into Victoria Park where visitors can have a closer look of this spectacular performance.

Special Privileges for Visitors
You are cordially invited to include this vibrant event in the itinerary for your tour groups. To encourage visitors to experience this fascinating traditional Chinese festival, the following privileges are offered to trade partners for FREE

1.  Paper lantern redemption coupons: each coupon entitles a visitor to redeem a lantern as a festive gift. Redemptions can be done at the Visitor Information Service Counter located at Mid-Autumn Market;
