As counterfeit banknotes surface in the market from time to time, merchants are advised to stay alert to the security features of banknotes in order to prevent unnecessary financial loss. The Quality Tourism Services Association (QTSA) is organising a seminar inviting representatives from the Hong Kong Police Force and Hong Kong Monetary Authority to share about the techniques on identification of counterfeit banknotes.
Speakers will introduce the security features of the Hong Kong new series banknotes, as well as Hong Kong dollar, Renminbi, US dollar and Euro banknotes, and demonstrate the techniques in differentiating counterfeit banknotes.
