New Funding Support for Small-sized Meeting and Convention Groups for Hotels 2023/24 Online Briefing

In order to foster the competitiveness of our hotel partners and facilitate their success in securing small-sized meeting and convention groups for Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is set to launch a unique funding scheme exclusively for Hong Kong licensed hotels.
Scheme Highlights
Eligibility of Applicant: |
Hong Kong licensed hotels receiving eligible meeting or convention (MC) groups |
|
Eligibility of Meeting and Convention (MC) Groups: |
- The MC group size must consist of non-Hong Kong delegates ranging from 10 to 400 individuals.
- The MC event must comprise a minimum of a consecutive four-hour meeting programme conducted at the facilities of the applicant hotel.
- The MC group delegates are required to stay at the applicant's hotel for a minimum of one night.
- The MC event organiser is obligated to make the applicant hotel booking directly, and not through any third-party entities, such as tour operators and destination management companies.

Funding Amount: |
- From HK$3,750 to HK$40,000 per MC group with one night’s stay
- From HK$7,500 to HK$80,000 per MC group with two nights’ stay or longer
|

Application Period: |
From 27 March 2023 to 26 March 2024 |
|
Arrival Period of Eligible MC Groups: |
From 15 April 2023 to 14 October 2024 |
|
Online Briefing Session
We extend a cordial invitation to all Hong Kong licensed hotels to attend the Online Briefing Session scheduled to provide detailed information about the support programme and the requisite application procedures.
