“Quality Tourism Services” (QTS) Scheme:
Notice of Amendment to the QTS Assessment Criteria and Assessment Reports

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) would like to notify you that amendments to the QTS Assessment Criteria and Assessment Reports will take effect from 2 January 2024 (“Effective Date”).

To keep up with the latest operational trends and meet evolving customer expectations, the key changes are as follows:

Assessment criteria:

  • Enhancements in service levels through technology
  • Integration of customer feedback channels
  • Implementation of sustainability measures
  • Adjustments to overall scoring

Assessment reports:

  • Streamline all assessment reports with point-form presentation
  • Add a new section “Social Listening” for the merchant’s reference
  • Deliver ‘Mid-Term Surveillance Visit Report’ and ‘Formal Assessment Report’ in paperless format to the merchant’s registered email address
