Hello Hong Kong

19 July 2024

Enhanced Application Process for Special Funding Support Programme for Small-sized Corporate Meeting and Convention Groups (for Hotels)

Dear Valued Hotel Partner,

We are pleased to inform you that the minimum application lead time for the Small-sized Corporate Meeting and Convention Groups Special Funding Support for Hotels (the "MC Funding Scheme for Hotels") is shortened from ten (10) to five (5) working days, effective immediately.

The MC Funding Scheme for Hotels aims to assist Hong Kong licensed hotels to build business and augment competitiveness in attracting MC groups to Hong Kong. Since the launch of this scheme in Mar 2023, we have observed an increasing momentum in funding applications and received constructive feedback from hotel partners to further enhance the scheme. One of the suggestions is to shorten the application lead time in order to cater to urgent quotation requests from event organizers.

We trust this lead-time adjustment will help you enhance offers to event organisers, contributing to bringing more corporate meetings and conventions to Hong Kong.

Taking this opportunity, we would like to highlight the scheme eligibility and application procedure as follows:
