JATA Tourism EXPO 2014, Tokyo (26-28 September 2014)

HKTB participated in the JATA Tourism EXPO 2014, which is one of the largest tourism events in Japan, from 26 to 28 September at the Tokyo Big Sight.

Located in a prime area, the Hong Kong Pavilion successfully caught the visitors’ attention by adopting a contemporary design on “Hong Kong．Asia’s World City”, with a giant TV wall to showcase the city’s diverse appeal. Besides, photos of the top Japanese group EXILE, the “Hong Kong Friendship Ambassador of 2014”, were specially featured to showcase the group’s unforgettable experience during their Hong Kong trip. Series of games and activities were conducted onsite to drive traffic to the booth.

Another highlight was the opening cocktail held on the first day of the show. Over 110 Japanese travel trade and Hong Kong delegates who joined HKTB’s Travel Mission to Japan (Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo) attended the event to widen their global reach and share their insights on tourism development.

The three-day show was successfully concluded with over 157,000 visitors. The JATA Tourism EXPO 2015 will be scheduled for 24 to 27 September.
