Guangzhou International Travel Fair (21-23 February 2019)

HKTB and 26 Hong Kong trade partners including hotels, attractions and ground operators participated at the Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) held in Pazhou’s China Import & Export Fair Complex. Hong Kong’s unique tourism offerings were successfully showcased through the Hong Kong Pavilion.

HKTB was presented with “The Most Attractive Tourist Destination Award” by the GITF Organizing Committee. Mr Zhang Jianhua, Vice Secretary General of the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, Ms Liu Yumei, Director General of Tourism Administration of Guangzhou Municipality, Mr Joe Wong, JP, Commissioner for Tourism, Ms Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office, Mr Anthony Lau, Executive Director of HKTB and other government officials officiated the opening ceremony, followed by a VIP tour visiting the major exhibitors.

Interactive games with attractive giveaways were also hosted at the Hong Kong Pavilion to attract visitors and promote the “Hong Kong Value Offer” app and HTKB’s WeChat official account. This three-day event attracted almost 40,000 buyers and over 1,000 exhibitors representing 55 countries and regions, providing an effective platform for Hong Kong trade partners to expand their business network.
