Details: | HKTB participated in the second China International Import Expo held in Shanghai. Under the expo theme of “New Era, Shared Future”, HKTB showcased different Hong Kong unique travel experiences to elevate the city’s image as a premier travel destination. Multi-destination travel in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was also highlighted to promote Hong Kong as the hub to travel around the area.
The Hong Kong Pavilion adopted a brand new design which was inspired by two traditional Hong Kong elements: the distinctive geometry window patterns that were once deeply rooted in Hong Kong’s daily life, and the red-white-blue patterned nylon canvas which has long been a Hong Kong icon symbolising Hongkonger’s creative and inventive spirit. It successfully outlined the unique identity and culture of Hong Kong.
The occasion was graced with the presence of Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of HKSAR on opening day. The six-day Expo attracted over 3,800 enterprises from 181 countries and regions and more than 500,000 domestic and overseas buyers to attend. |
