Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), one of the seasonal mega events, “Hong Kong WinterFest” opens today! Being the talk of the town in the past two winters, the popular giant Christmas tree and Christmas Town return to the waterfront, kicking off the event with various photo spots with romantic ambience that shower the city with heartwarming winter festivity

Not-to-be-missed check-in spot: Igniting the Christmas Town with the 20-metre giant Christmas Tree

Being the star of the Christmas Town, the 20-metre, six-storey giant Christmas tree brings life to the harbourfront with its sparkling decorations and a shiny star-shaped tree-topper. Don’t miss the view of the Christmas tree at the magic hours which perfectly echoes with the charming sunset. Equally fascinating is the bling-bling aura of the tree reflected against the city’s famous Victoria Harbour in the evening, making it a not-to-be-missed social media check-in location with enthralling festive celebratory vibe.

Immerse Yourselves in love and warmth at the romantic Christmas Town

Themed with love and warmth, the Christmas town is filled with adorable installations of “LOVE” and cutesy heart-shaped photo spots which send loving festive blessings to every visitor in the Christmas Town. One may also find Christmas thematic installations such as lovely reindeers, present boxes and Christmas wreathes that are perfect for photos in commemorating the visits. During Christmas holiday, the Santa will greet visitors in surprise at the Christmas hut built in the shape of a present, spreading festive blessings and joy! What’s more, the West Kowloon Cultural District will present its first ever open-air 10-day Christmas Market at the Great Lawn, Art Park, featuring 25 specialty stalls, creative F&B, live performances and festive pet’s delights.

Winter Harbourfront Pyrotechnics debuting in December

In addition to the Christmas Town, there will be eight sessions of the new Winter Harbourfront Pyrotechnics at 8pm on 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 (Christmas Eve), 25 (Christmas Day) and 26 (Boxing Day). Catch the festive icons of Christmas trees, presents and hearts at the display for more surprises.
