The staircase leading to the Tian Tan Giant Buddha will be temporarily closed for improvement works from 16 February 2022 until around mid-year; exact reopening date will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, renovation and maintenance works of the Tian Tan Giant Buddha Statue have been completed. Visitors are welcome to pay respect to the Giant Buddha at the Di Tan Square near the entrance to the Po Lin Monastery.
