Introduction of Tourism Commission

The Tourism Commission was established in May 1999 and is under the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It is responsible for mapping out Government’s tourism development policy and strategy, providing a focal point for liaison with the tourism industry and enhancing co-ordination in developing tourism.

The vision of the Commission is to establish and develop Hong Kong into a world-class premier tourism destination. The Commission works closely with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and other organisations to promote the development of tourism in Hong Kong.
