Anti-Epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification Scheme

HKTB launched a standardised hygiene protocol in partnership with the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) to provide unified guidelines on hygiene and anti-epidemic measures for tourism-related industries. The protocol is intended to help the public better understand the relevant measures in place across sectors and bolster visitor confidence in travelling to Hong Kong.

Applicable Businesses and Organisations

The Scheme covers different sectors including shopping malls, licensed hotels, attractions, venues, inbound tour operators, and restaurants and retail outlets under the Quality Tourism Services (QTS) Scheme.

Getting Started

Participating businesses and outlets are required to comply with a set of hygiene and anti-epidemic measures. After passing the assessment, the outlet can display a designated logo to show the public its commitment to the protocol. The HKQAA will conduct random visits for continued inspections.

To help relieve the financial burden on the trade, the HKTB will fully sponsor application fees for eligible businesses, with subsidies available on a first come, first served basis. An enterprise will be sponsored once only in the application period based on the business registration and address.

LeaveHomeSafe Mobile App

Catering premises, hotels, places of public entertainment are required to apply the "LeaveHomeSafe" COVID-19 exposure notification mobile app. Other merchants are also recommended to apply, which aims to encourage the public to keep a more precise record of their whereabouts, minimising the risk of further transmission of the virus and protect Hong Kong together.
