The HUB brings fashion buyers from across the region to Hong Kong

Funky fashion buyers from across the region, including Mainland China, recently headed to Hong Kong for Asia’s premier fashion tradeshow The HUB, now enjoying its third event in Hong Kong. The HUB hosted a multitude of diverse labels under one roof, ready for Asia–Pacific’s best buyers to snap them up.

Organisers scored an additional coup this year by simultaneously hosting the China Fashion Forum – one of the Chinese fashion industry’s most important events. China Fashion Forum had never before been held outside Beijing, but in 2014 The HUB successfully lured the event to Hong Kong, the heart of luxury shopping in Asia. The HUB supported the China Fashion Forum from 27-28 August, with both events held at D2 Place in Lai Chi Kok, Hong Kong’s fashion industry hotspot.

Asia's health market thrives at Natural & Organic Products Asia 2014

Hong Kong flaunted its natural beauty in August at this year’s Natural & Organic Products Asia event. Organised by Diversified Communications, the occasion was instrumental in unlocking Asia’s potential as the world’s most exciting market for healthy and natural goods.

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre professionally hosted more than 140 exhibitors from 25 countries, showcasing over 1,000 natural and organic products to discerning buyers from across the globe. Organiser Diversified Communications reported intense business activity and deal-making at the event, reflecting the region’s strong growth potential for natural products and services. It is another successful event in the rising MICE portfolio hosted by Diversified Communications in Hong Kong, with other events including Restaurant & Bar, Seafood Asia Expo, and Retail Asia Expo.

An extraordinary team-building experience at Silence Motion 360

Co-organised by Ngong Ping 360 and Dialogue Experience, Silence Motion 360 is the world’s first corporate team-building event conducted through silent drama. The multi-sensory workshop begins with a stunning cable car ride to Ngong Ping, inviting team members to appreciate the lush, natural surrounds of Lantau Island.

Within the idyllic surrounds of the beautiful Ngong Ping, delegates will be met by Deaf trainers who will challenge participants to expand their horizons by creating and performing a drama without speaking. This is a hugely challenging task for many teams, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for individuals. The extraordinary experience will help foster cooperation, trust, confidence, and creativity within your team, increasing emotional intelligence, enhancing the ability to manage change, boosting team synergy, exploring alternative methods of communication, stimulating the imagination, and fostering an appreciation of diversity.

Silence Motion 360 at Ngong Ping 360 can be extended to include an outdoor adventure. Come and experience the natural beauty of Lantau Island, Hong Kong’s most beautiful island, as the perfect venue for dynamic outdoor team-building activities.

Share a piece of Hong Kong history with your event guests

It’s widely known that Hong Kong has a ‘venue for every event’, and that is just one reason why it’s Asia’s most prestigious destination for business events. But if you’re looking for a truly unique event space, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum provides an individual edge.

The popular museum has recently moved to a new location at Central ferry pier 8, facing Hong Kong’s stunning harbour. It houses more than 5,000 artefacts that capture and celebrate Hong Kong’s rich history as a maritime port. The museum promotes Hong Kong’s nautical heritage, from past to present, while exploring future possibilities.

In partnership with the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, get ready to dive into event planning for cocktail receptions, training workshops, seminars, product launches, dinners, exhibitions, and press conferences. Event spaces can span the entire museum or encompass a small private section. It’s an unequivocally original way to share a piece of Hong Kong’s history with your event guests.

HKTB’s MEHK promotes Hong Kong in incredible India

From 18–22 August, the HKTB and MEHK joined forces to successfully conduct Travel Mission India 2014, covering a circuit of four major cities: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi. The HKTB and MEHK hosted 24 participating Hong Kong Partners on the productive tour, which was crafted to further capture the growth potential of the Indian outbound market to Hong Kong.

The tour included buyer-seller sessions in each Indian city, and two MICE-themed evening events in Mumbai and New Delhi. Each event offered multiple networking opportunities, and allowed Hong Kong partners to demonstrate what makes Hong Kong the world’s meeting place to more than 900 Indian travel trade fraternities.

The tour afforded the perfect platform to showcase Hong Kong’s latest array of enticing attractions and leading MICE offers.

China’s corporate event planners tour Hong Kong

26 corporate event planners and decision-makers from Beijing and Shanghai enjoyed a customised five-day tour of Hong Kong in July. The group included representatives from the medical & pharmaceutical, direct selling, IT & technology, and insurance industries. The trip showcased Hong Kong’s latest MICE products and services, and the city’s unique experiences.

All delegates were treated to Hong Kong’s famous world-class service while enjoying iconic venues, including the new cruise terminal, sky100 Observation Deck, Hong Kong Disneyland, and other premium meeting spaces.

Hong Kong’s playful nature was also presented, with delegates enjoying team-building and cultural group activities, including a Lantau Sunset Tour, a treasure hunt through Central & Sheung Wan, a cooking class, and a painting workshop.

The event garnered impressive results for MICE businesses, with participating Chinese corporate planners inspired by the city and choosing to stage their events and meetings in Hong Kong this year.

Hong Kong to take part at IMEX America in Las Vegas

Ten of Hong Kong’s top trade partners will team up with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to represent the city at this year’s IMEX America event, held from 14–16 October in Las Vegas. UFI Open Seminar returns to Hong Kong in 2015 to celebrate its 10th anniversary
