HONG KONG EMBRACES NEW NORMS OF TRAVEL
The COVID-19 pandemic has grinded global travel to a halt and presented unprecedented challenges to Hong Kong’s tourism. Public health conditions of destinations, hygiene standards of transportation, hotels and other tourism facilities are expected to take precedence.

In response, service providers in Hong Kong have unanimously stepped up in preparing for a post-pandemic world, including utilizing artificial intelligence and cleaning technologies in supplementing health and sanitation measures, on top of other service touchpoints such as provision of hand sanitizers and face masks.

As the government allocates funding to support businesses’ anti-epidemic efforts, the HKTB has also put together an informational booklet to highlight how our tourism stakeholders are putting in place measures to make their facilities and the whole city of Hong Kong safer than ever for our overseas visitors.

NEW RETAIL AND DINING OPTION
Tiffany & Co. Blue Box Café
Hong Kong is home to the first Blue Box Café in Asia – only the second location in the world after the jewellery house’s flagship in New York City. Be enchanted by the iconic Tiffany Blue setting, from the walls to the tableware. The space is made up of two sections: a more public seating area and a quieter, more exclusive dining room in the back, separated in between by an alluring display of Tiffany’s homeware. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is no longer just a dream.

MoMA Design Store
The Museum of Modern Art in New York is one of the world’s largest and more influential museums of modern art. The new Hong Kong outpost is MoMA’s third and largest in Asia. It offers selection of design products and gifts inspired by MoMA’s collection, as well as collaborations with some of the most renowned artists in the world. Guests can immerse themselves in 6,000 square feet of retail space while exploring and enjoying art in a contemporary setting.

Fortnum & Mason
Founded in 1707 and a supplier to the Royal Family, award-winning food and lifestyle brand Fortnum & Mason has picked Hong Kong as the residence of its first solely owned and operated store outside the UK.

Located along the newly developed Victoria Dockside, the 7,000 square feet space will feature a selection of Fortnum’s most celebrated products, as well as the new Musea Blend created exclusively to celebrate the launch in the SAR. Fortnum’s famous Afternoon Tea will also be on offer each day, accompanied by a live pianist and spectacular skyline vistas.

Blue Bottle Café
One of the world’s most iconic coffee brands finally has its first outpost in Hong Kong. Originally from Oakland, California, the brand is known for its minimalist aesthetics and New Orleans-styled iced coffee.

The Hong Kong store spans across two storeys, and is located right by the Central Mid-Levels escalator. On the ground floor customers can enjoy coffees as well as shop for merchandise, while upstairs is where you’ll find the famed pourover bar and chill out on one of the leather-and-wood director chairs.
