Description: The art of Cantonese opera will be on full display at the Hong Kong Arts Festival in a specially curated three-year series led by Yuen Siu-fai, one of the most esteemed Cantonese opera masters today, starring three of today’s most sought-after performers: Lam Tin-yau, Keith Lai and Wyborn Leung Wai-hong. The festival will first feature three thoughtfully curated programmes consisting of excerpts and full-length works showcasing ancient paichang operatic styles. Formulaic Plays Excerpts will be performed on the first night, while the following two nights of performances include Wu Song and Executing the Duke’s Second Brother.
