Détails: | Enhanced Interactive Exhibition Lands in AIRSIDE in Kai Tak to Promote Movie Tourism and Encourage Local Cultural Exploration
Phase 1 of the “Live out the Cinematic Charm of Hong Kong” Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In Exhibition, which debuted at Hong Kong International Airport in October, was wellreceived by locals and visitors alike. It has been relocated to Kowloon City, the setting of the movie, and today marks the start of Phase 2 (until 13 April 2025) of the Exhibition. The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), Nan Fung Group AIRSIDE, and the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), together with the filmmakers, have created an expanded exhibition that will allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the movie sets. Several all-new photo spots and Easter eggs shots that were not included in the movie have been added, and visitors can take home movie-related merchandise, ranging from nostalgic snacks and toys to film collectibles from new stalls at the Exhibition. Locals and visitors are invited to explore Hong Kong through the lens of the movie and discover new travel experiences.
Mr Michael Wong, Deputy Financial Secretary of the HKSAR, said, “The second phase of the Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In Exhibition will be held at AIRSIDE in Kai Tak, with new elements and a number of new scenes. Locals and visitors can enjoy a close-up look at the behindthe-scenes production and deepen their understanding of Hong Kong movies, in particular the superb craftsmanship of the artistic design and props used in the sets.”
Dr Pang Yiu-kai, HKTB Chairman, said, “HKTB is committed to promoting local tourism through movies. With the success of Phase 1 of the Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In Exhibition at Hong Kong International Airport, we are continuing to stage the sensational Exhibition with additional photo spots and introduce stalls selling movie merchandise to allow visitors to enjoy delicacies from the movie and drive retail sales.”
Three highlights of the elevated Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In Exhibition (refer to the appendix for more details):
Extended Dining and Retail Experiences (See attachment for details): Complete your experience by visiting the extended dining and retail stalls in the Exhibition. Visitors can find iconic Hong Kong delicacies, such as cha siu rice, rice rolls and faux shark's fin soup, which are packed in nostalgic takeaway containers for a more authentic experience. There is also a store selling retro snacks and toys, such as Furuta High Eight Chocolate (chocolate beans wrapped in eyeglasses-like props), Coke candies, Santa Claus masks and mini water guns. Movie distributor Entertaining Power also designed limited-edition movie merchandise for the Exhibition, including models of the Walled City, thermoses, T-shirts, matchboxes, postcards, coasters, and books and photobooks by original fiction writer Yuyi. Don’t miss it!
