Get ready for a spooktacular time with the “Hong Kong Halloween” campaign, presented by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB). Starting today (8 October), HKTB is bringing a whole collection of exciting Halloween experiences, nighttime dining guides and mouth-watering special offers to make Hong Kong’s nightlife a thrilling experience. Join us and make this Halloween month unforgettable together!
Mr Dane Cheng, HKTB Executive Director, said, “With tons of fun-filled events and activities full of cultural colours across the city, Hong Kong’s Halloween in October is one of the attractions for tourists visiting Hong Kong. This year, HKTB is bringing back the ‘Hong Kong Halloween’ campaign with more energetic vibes and innovations to enrich the Halloween ambience. We have also crafted a guide to Hong Kong’s late-night dining scene and collected some value-for-money offers on food and drinks, aiming to create a festive and joyful time for both locals and visitors while stimulating nighttime economy.”
Check out four exciting surprises from HKTB’s “Hong Kong Halloween”:
1. Hong Kong Space Museum’s two-week costume show For two consecutive weeks from 18 (Friday) to 31 October (Thursday), the Hong Kong Space Museum in Tsim Sha Tsui will be dressed up as adorable characters from 8.15 to 10.30pm every night. Don’t miss its mischievous cosplay as a pumpkin, a playful white ghost, a pineapple bun, a mysterious galaxy and a cunning bat in an extraordinary display of musical lights and shadows, greeting locals and visitors with Halloween amusement and inviting them to take photos with it! Also, get ready to join the HKTB’s flash mob performances as they bring with them unexpected surprises.
2. Illuminated “Hong Kong Halloween” tram for a nighttime adventure Starting this Friday (11 October), HKTB’s special “Hong Kong Halloween” light-up tram will be festively decorated throughout the day and night to promote the Halloween season. Hop on the tram and explore the city for a lively adventure! On Halloween night (31 October), there will be a party tram parade with a host of cute ghosts and monsters meeting the public on the party tram, inviting locals and visitors along the route to join the frenzied Halloween celebration.
3. Nighttime gastronomic guides for uncovering mouthwatering offerings Hong Kong’s delectable gastronomy is a core part of its vibrancy. HKTB launched a late-night dining guide today to help locals and visitors spot places where they can satisfy their late-night cravings. Featuring over 30 supper recommendations in town, the guide covers selections from international flavours and local classics to heart-warming desserts and ·
Also check out HKTB’s list of more than 20 value-for-money offers for both day- and nighttime dining. Offers include lamb casserole at a special price of HK$9.9 after 8:30pm on designated days, free Peking Duck for dine-in groups of six people or more, a nearly half-price seafood platter with white wine for two, buy-two-get-one-free hotel buffet dinners, buy-one-get-one-free beers for passport holders, and more. 4. Makeover at various hotspots for photo fun across the town To celebrate Halloween, the HKTB will add festive-themed decorations at Hong Kong International Airport, MTR stations, Visitor Information Centres and various shopping malls. A popular ice-cream truck will also be transformed into a “pumpkin carriage” and will appear on the streets of Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok on the evenings of 18, 19, 25, 26 October (Fridays and Saturdays) and 31 October for a limited time. There will be a free ice-cream giveaway from 7 to 10pm on 31 October at Pier 8, Central Ferry Piers (near the Hong Kong Observation Wheel). Enjoy trick-or-treating with the ice-cream truck!
