The Hong Kong Dance Company brings the hugely popular Hong Kong comic book The Storm Riders to stage. Storm Clouds extracts the most thrilling parts of the story and presents them on an innovative stage, utilising digital imagery, a gleaming pool of water, sophisticated lighting and an award-winning musical score to reconstruct the comic realm. The performance includes the fierce battle between Bo Ging-wan and Lip Fung, the ethereal dance movements of heroine Hung Chi, a complex love triangle and enthralling choreography, providing audiences with a truly memorable visual experience.
In addition to the stage performance, the Hong Kong Dance Company will hold a three-day large-scale outdoor free public event 'STORM CLOUDS —An Immersive Journey:
HK Classic Comics ✕ Dance ✕ Arts Tech' that includes the ‘STORM CLOUDS: An Interactive Time Travel Experience’ exhibition and ‘STORM CLOUDS: Outdoor Dance Performance with 3D Projection’.
