詳細: | To welcome the National Day Golden Week in October, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has stepped up its promotions of Hong Kong in the Mainland market and will introduce different events and spending offers, leveraging a series of official celebrations and community activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China. These include drone shows, a special edition of A Symphony of Lights themed around the 75th National Day, special discount in the Temple Street night market, free tram rides and many more, to enrich the experience of the local public and visitors during the Golden Week.
Mr Dane Cheng, HKTB Executive Director, said, “From January to August this year, Hong Kong received a total of over 29.5 million visitors. As this is the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China this year, there will be over 400 celebratory events across Hong Kong during the Golden Week. The Hong Kong Tourism Board has also further stepped up promotions in Mainland markets to attract visitors to come to Hong Kong during the Golden Week holiday and experience Hong Kong’s diverse and rich tourism offerings.”
I. Joint offers for ride-hailing service with Amap to attract Mainland visitors to explore Hong Kong in National Day Golden Week The HKTB partners with Mainland travel and lifestyle portal Amap in launching a special promotion “Exploring Hong Kong in National Day Golden Week” to promote various tourism hotspots in town with rewards, which appeal to visitors to broaden their footprint in Hong Kong and stimulate consumption. The first phase of promotion includes a handout of HK$10 million credits to visitors for ride-hailing service in Hong Kong by the Amap. From today to 7 October (Monday), visitors can look up “Travel in Hong Kong” in the Amap mobile app to collect cash credits of HK$180 for ride-hailing services. Users can also enjoy a 20% discount on the fee. Amap will soon roll out a nighttime travel guide for Hong Kong to offer more recommendations on exciting nighttime itineraries.
At the same time, the HKTB continued to strengthen its promotional efforts in Mainland through a wide range of special offers to encourage Mainland visitors to make plans to visit Hong Kong through various initiatives:

Highlights of the HKTB’s 75th National Day Golden Week activities and offers are as follows: 1. Art masterpieces recreated with drones The HKTB will present the “Galloping Horses” drone show at the Wan Chai waterfront at 8pm on 28 September (Saturday), featuring Hong Kong’s local characteristics and elements celebrating the 75th National Day over the Victoria Harbour. A dynamic display of Chinese painting master Xu Beihong’s famous works will also be recreated dynamically in the drone show.
The HKTB will also fully support the “New Generation National Day Chorus” presented by the Tourism Commission on the evening of 30 September (Monday). There will be a drone show, a choir performance with 1,000 students, as well as various acts staged by youth organisations.
2. Special edition of A Symphony of Lights for National Day to be staged daily in October In addition to the drone show, the HKTB will present a special edition of A Symphony of Lights for the 75th National Day at 8pm daily throughout October. The special edition will feature special lighting effects with searchlights. A variety of eye-catching motion graphics and celebratory messages will also be displayed on the screens of buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbour. On the evening of 26 October (Saturday), some of the participating buildings will also feature rooftop pyrotechnics to further enhance the joyous ambience in the city and bring a more vibrant audiovisual experience to local and visiting viewers.
3. 25% off Temple Street night market delicacies & free tram rides on National Day The food stalls at “A Taste of Temple Street” night market will offer special discounts during 1–7 October. Consumers can enjoy a 25% discount for designated dishes. Enjoy the local taste in the characteristic Temple Street!
On National Day (1 October), the HKTB will sponsor Hong Kong Tramways to present a Free Tram Ride Day. Locals and visitors can enjoy unlimited free tram rides on Hong Kong Island to celebrate the National Day.
Hong Kong received close to 4.5 million visitors in August The HKTB announced that the provisional visitor arrivals in August were close to 4.5 million, representing an increase of more than 9% over the same period last year. Half of them were overnight visitors. Cumulatively, over 29.5 million visitor arrivals were recorded from January to August this year, a year-on-year increase of 45%. Among them, 23 million were Mainland visitors and 6.6 million were non-Mainland visitors, year-on-year increases of 39% and 63% respectively.
