HKTB Presents Hong Kong’s Largest New Year Countdown Event Celebrating 2025 with Locals and Visitors

Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), the largest New Year Countdown Celebration in town cheered the city with a fireworks extravaganza. Themed “The Symphony of Happiness”, the fireworks display concluded tonight (1 January 2025) in joy and success, as locals and visitors welcomed 2025 in unison.

The fireworks display of the “Hong Kong New Year Countdown Celebrations”, themed “The Symphony of Happiness”, offered blessings for 2025 by revealing the myriad states and stages of the five natural elements – metal, wood, water, fire and earth – over iconic Victoria Harbour. The fireworks display lasted for 12 minutes and spanned 1,300 metres, from Central to North Point on Hong Kong Island.

Members of local groups MIRROR and COLLAR, along with popular Canadian duo Crash Adams, from Canada, who have over 10 million YouTube subscribers, performed on the Viewing Deck of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, counting down to 2025 with locals and visitors.

About 1,500 cruise passengers from the Mainland visited Hong Kong today, where they celebrated the countdown festivity of Hong Kong and were treated to a spectacular display of fireworks onboard Piano Land of Astro Ocean Cruise.
