| 내용: | Classic Snacks are Recreated in Blue and White Ceramic, Blending Traditional Chinese Aesthetic with Contemporary Art
Building on the momentum of the Hong Kong Super March campaign, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is rolling out its latest seasonal thematic promotion Hong Kong Cultural Beat to celebrate the city’s exuberant and diverse year-round cultural and arts calendar. Highlights include the four-day Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2025 opening today (22 – 25 May).
The HKTB and Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong have joined forces this year to offer an interactive art experience, bringing in local artist Angel Hui Hoi-kiu to curate an Auntie Angel Store. The activation is inspired by Hong Kong’s traditional tuck shops, commonly known as “士多 (si6 do1)”, and offers locals and visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the nostalgic wonder of these iconic shops, inspiring them to discover more of the distinctive and evocative charms of the local neighbourhoods.
Immersive Nostalgic Tuck Shop with Blue-and-White Ceramic Classic Snacks — Blending Chinese Aesthetics with Contemporary Art to Reimagine Local Culture
Drawing inspiration from classic local snacks, Angel Hui Hoi-kiu has skillfully recreated a range of snacks in exquisite blue and white ceramic, using traditional Chinese brushwork techniques.
As Hui notes, “Snacks come with an expiry date, but ceramics lasts. I love the contrast that arises from the fundamental differences between the two.” Through the use of blue and white ceramic, she hopes to preserve the flavours that hold a special place in the collective memory of Hong Kong, allowing a much-loved ingredient of the city’s community culture to endure.
Revel in Traditional Snacks and Nostalgic Capsule Toys, and Explore the Rich Tapestry of Hong Kong Culture
14 classic local snacks and drinks are featured in the tuck shop, from vintage ice-cream cups and popsicles to bottled soy milk and soft drinks, allowing visitors to soak up authentic local flavours.
With every purchase in the interactive area, visitors will receive a token for the capsule toy dispenser which will issue badges designed by the artist. The three badge designs are inspired by classic local snacks and encapsulate the city’s nostalgic charm.
Alternatively, the tokens can be used for a game on the classic bouncy ball dispenser for an opportunity to relive childhood delights.

Nostalgic Themed Postcards, Inviting Friends from Around the World to Discover Our City
Before leaving the tuck shop, visitors can pen their thoughts on nostalgic snack and si6 do1-themed postcards designed by Angel Hui Hoi-kiu. The postcards feature a rich tapestry of Hong Kong’s culture and can be posted to friends and family members using a vintage tin postbox within the space.
Through Auntie Angel Store, the HKTB aims to promote Hong Kong’s unique cultural landscape, inspiring tourists to explore authentic neighborhoods that serve as cultural playgrounds after visiting the exhibition, giving them the opportunity to discover more about the city’s unparalleled charm.
