Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) Chairman Dr Pang Yiu-kai today (28 February) thanked the Government for the announcement of earmarking HK$665 million to support the work of the HKTB in the 2024/25 fiscal year.

HKTB to Launch First Pyrotechnic Display in Labour Day Golden Week and Steps Up Mainland Market Promotions to Attract Visitors Rich Event Calendar in May with Entertainment, Cultural and Festive Events


The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced that, starting from May, the Board will regularly roll out pyrotechnic displays or drone shows in line with festivals and mega events. The first pyrotechnic display will take place on 1 May (Wednesday) evening, welcoming the Labour Day Golden Week. Similarly, the first drone show will add appeal to the city’s traditional festive celebrations on 11 May (Saturday) over Victoria Harbour.

HKTB Warmly Welcomes Increase of Duty-Free Allowance For Luggage Articles For Visitors Who are Mainland Residents Launching New Promotional Campaign “Summer Chill Hong Kong” to giveaway “Summer Triple Rewards” with Offers Worth Over HKD$100 Million for Overnight Visitors


The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) warmly welcomes and expresses sincere gratitude for the Central Government’s announcement to increase the duty-free allowance for luggage articles brought into the Mainland from Hong Kong by visitors who are Mainland residents. Riding on the new measure, HKTB is launching a new “Summer Chill Hong Kong” campaign, which includes a “Summer Triple Rewards” promotion, offering all overnight visitors to Hong Kong with 500,000 sets of rewards, with offers in transport / sightseeing, dining and retail totalling over HK$100 million. HKTB is also collaborating with the trade to present a range of spending offers to further stimulate visitor spending in Hong Kong.

HKTB Welcomes the Expansion of Individual Visit Scheme Covering 59 Cities in Mainland


Dr. Pang Yiu-kai, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), thanked the Central Government for expanding the Individual Visit Scheme (IVS) to 8 Mainland cities from 27 May and expressed welcome to the arrangement, “The Central Government’s inclusion of the new cities in the IVS twice in three months reflects its full support and confidence to Hong Kong. It is also a gift for Hong Kong's tourism industry.”
