2019 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade
The International Chinese New Year Night Parade is one of Hong Kong’s most anticipated annual events, with fantastic floats and spectacular performances by local and international performers, welcoming Chinese New Year with a festive energy that is uniquely Hong Kong.

Date:5 February 2019
(Chinese New Year’s Day)
Time: 8–9:45pm
(A variety of street performances will entertain the crowds along the route from 6pm onwards)

Route:
Major roads in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Parade starts with an opening ceremony at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza. First float and performing group will arrive at Canton Road at around 8:30pm, Haiphong Road at 8:50pm and Nathan Road at 9pm

With its lavish fireworks, world-famous street parade, elaborate banquets and glittering illuminations, Chinese New Year is a highlight of the Hong Kong calendar. Masters of Hong Kong
(15-17 February 2019)
The Hong Kong Masters attracts the world’s top 25 show jumping riders for a spectacle that fans of the sport will not want to miss. As the first five-star (CSI 5*) accredited competition on the equestrian calendar to take place in Asia since the Olympic Games in 2008, the event also strengthens Hong Kong’s role as the region’s equestrian capital.

This year, the Masters of Hong Kong continues its journey across the world. After Paris and before New York, the Asian leg of the Masters Series, the Grand Slam of Indoor Show Jumping, will take place from 15–17 February 2019 at AsiaWorld-Expo. Now in its seventh edition, the Masters of Hong Kong has become an integral part of the region's social and cultural calendar, combining heart-pounding performances by the world's top show jumping riders and horses with world-class entertainment, fashion, art and gastronomy
Hong Kong Marathon
(17 February 2019)
Many of the world’s elite runners compete in Hong Kong‘s largest outdoor sporting event every year. The Hong Kong Marathon has grown from just 1,000 competitors in 1997 to tens of thousands in recent years. It is expected to be even bigger next year, with a full marathon, a half marathon and a 10 km run taking competitors past some of the best urban scenery Asia’s world city has to offer.

The fierce competition is just as exciting for spectators as it is for runners, with the 42.195 km full marathon starting in the scenic Tsim Sha Tsui area of Kowloon, racing up into the New Territories and heading back down to a spectacular finish in Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island

Hong Kong Disneyland announced the launch of brand new Marvel attraction “Ant-Man and The Wasp : Nano Battle!” to be launched in March 2019, located at Tomorrow Land.

This new attraction be an all-new interactive experience for visitors, following the successful launch of Iron Man Experience in 2017. Visitors can ride in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s state-of-the-art vehicle, join Ant-Man and The Wasp in an epic battle against Arnim Zola and his army of evil Hydra Swarm-bots. More Marvel experiences will be launched as part of the multi-year expansion of HKDL that extends through 2023

Connected directly to the high speed rail station, the West Kowloon Cultural District is a growing arts and cultural hub with open spaces enjoyed by picnickers, joggers and cyclists. It also has expansive harbour views, making it a prime setting to get a photo of those gorgeous, fiery Hong Kong sunsets. Be sure to check out M+ Pavilion, which currently holds exhibitions and will focus on independent and smaller-scale exhibitions for designers and artists once the main M+ building is completed in 2019. The pavilion has a smart, simplistic design that uses mirrored walls to camouflage the architecture with reflections of the surrounding greenery. Otherwise, you can enjoy the green space of Art Park and Nursery Park, which is the venue for Freespace Happening – a free arts, culture and live music event every second Sunday of the month between September and March
Xiqu Centre
The Xiqu Centre is a contemporary gateway to the art of traditional Chinese theatre, under the West Kowloon Cultural District. With a design inspired by traditional lanterns, the building houses a state-of-the-art theatre for large productions and a smaller room made to recreate the more intimate performances of traditional Chinese tea houses. Starting in December 2018, look out for open days and other performances before the grand opening in 2019. It is connected to MTR Austin Station from which you can walk to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station
