Hong Kong Ups the Game with New Incentive Playbook |
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) launched a new campaign, “Hong Kong Incentive Playbook: Up the Game for Your Team”, on 24 April 2024. The campaign curates over 100 new and authentic itinerary ideas to inspire incentive groups in response to emerging incentive travel trends. |
Discover the five key themes: “Arts & Culture”, “Wellness & Nature”, “Neighbourhoods”, Nightlife & Parties”, and “Hong Kong Signatures” from HKTB’s newly launched campaign website and themed short videos for the Playbook in English and Chinese. |

HKTB Hosts Largest-Ever Celebration and Familiarization Trip for Top Agents |
On 24 April 2024, The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) hosted its largest-ever celebration for over 110 agents from Mainland China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, and India. The event acknowledged and recognized the efforts of overseas MICE agents for their contribution to bringing incentive groups to Hong Kong and fostering connections among the local, mainland, and overseas tourism sectors. |
Additionally, from 23 to 26 April, the HKTB curated unique itineraries and team activities for agents to explore Hong Kong’s diverse offerings first-hand; all tailored to the preferences of different source markets. |

With its exclusive cinematic release in the Philippines on 19 April, Singapore on 1 May and Thailand on 9 May, the film promises an unforgettable exploration of Hong Kong's charm. Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2024 | 1 March – 31 July 2024 |
Kung fu and martial arts films, as well as their associated industries, have always been integral to Hong Kong’s pop culture. This year holds special significance as it marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary writer Jin Yong and the 20th anniversary of the passing of James Wong. To honour these influential figures, the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2024 has adopted the theme of ‘Arts & Action’, offering a journey through time to explore Hong Kong’s pop culture from new perspectives. The diverse programmes will feature thematic exhibitions, film screenings, stage performances and engaging outreach activities. |

teamLab: Continuous | Art@Harbour 2024 | 25 March – 08 June 2024 |
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) joins hands with the international art collective teamLab to present the ‘teamLab: Continuous’ exhibition at Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade (Central Section). Hundreds of colourful luminous installations will continuously change colours and sounds as visitors interact with them. Similarly, the adorned trees in the park will also respond with shifting coloured lights and sounds. |

A Path to Glory – Jin Yong’s Centennial Memorial | 16 March – 7 October 2024 |
2024 marks the centenary of the birth of Jin Yong (Dr Louis Cha), a literary giant in Chinese literature. ‘A Path to Glory — Jin Yong’s Centennial Memorial’ is a memorial event that encompasses culture, art, creativity, heritage and education, paying tribute to the master of martial arts fiction. The event consists of ‘The World of Wuxia’ exhibition at Edinburgh Place, Central, and the ‘Sculpted by Ren Zhe’ exhibition at Hong Kong Heritage Museum. |
‘The World of Wuxia’ will exhibit 10 sculptures of Jin Yong’s iconic characters, created by the sculptor Ren Zhe. The exhibition presents a Mongolian yurt inspired by The Eagle-shooting Heroes and offers an immersive experience with multilingual audio guides and augmented reality technology. Highlights also include recreated scenes and iconic costume designs from the novels. |
