Grand Opening of Kai Tak Sports Park
Hong Kong’s largest new sports, entertainment and cultural landmark – Kai Tak Sports Park is officially open. Located on the former northern tarmac of the old Kai Tak Airport, this expansive park is the ultimate destination for sports enthusiasts, families and food lovers alike. The complex houses a 50,000 seat stadium equipped with a retractable roof, an indoor arena with 10,000 seats, and a 700,000 square feet mall featuring over 200 stores reinforcing Hong Kong as "The Premier Hub for Mega Events”. In the coming months, a variety of major sports and music events, as well as test matches for the National Games will be held in the park.

Southeast Asia Muslim Trade Familiarisation Trip
HKTB hosted a familiarisation trip on 17 – 20 Feb 2025 for Muslim travel trade representatives from the Southeast Asian visitor source markets. Over 20 representatives of the tourism industry from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia experienced the latest Muslim-friendly travel facilities and tourism products. Participants visited various hotels that received Muslim accreditations by international Muslim tourism certifier “CrescentRating”, to check out their accommodation facilities and catering services. They also enjoyed high-quality, authentic Chinese cuisine with Halal certification, immersing in the true flavors of Hong Kong.
HKTB continues to encourage more local trade partners to enhance their Muslim-friendly facilities, apply for related accreditations and certifications, and introduce Halal-certified food products, to provide Muslim travellers with a better and more diversified experience when visiting Hong Kong, and to attract them to travel to the city.

Hong Kong Welcomed over One Million Filipino Visitors in 2024
Hong Kong welcomed over one million visitors from the Philippines in 2024, setting a new milestone and breaking the previous record from the country in 2018. The number of visitors from Southeast Asia has shown robust growth since the city fully reopened to international travellers, and Philippines leads the way as the fastest-recovering market for inbound tourism.
To celebrate this milestone, the "Juan in a Million" event was held on 5 Feb 2025 commemorating the 1.2 million visitor arrivals from the Philippines. The event was attended by trade and media representatives, with the introduction of the one millionth visitor. The event was also graced by Filipino celebrities and KOLs KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad, and a dance performance from the Ocean Park Hong Kong mascots.

HKTB Buka Puasa Bersama Trade & Media event
HKTB hosted Buka Puasa Bersama Trade & Media events in Malaysia & Indonesia, as part of our ongoing efforts to elevate Hong Kong’s appeal as a Muslim-friendly destination.
The events brought together over 170 travel trade partners, media representatives and influencers from Malaysia & Indonesia, showcasing Hong Kong’s Muslim-friendly initiatives, growing portfolio of Halal-certified and Muslim-owned eateries, accommodations and attractions, introduction of “Jelajah Hong Kong” campaign and first-hand sharing of KOLs experiences in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort 20th Anniversary
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (“HKDL”) is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary starting this summer. Guests are invited to join The Most Magical Party of All, a year-long celebration that promises unparalleled joy and enchantment.
Guests will be welcomed by Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends and Disney princesses in a brand-new Anniversary-only Castle Stage Show! This daytime extravaganza brings together beloved Disney friends for a high-energy, fun-filled party experience in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams.
The brand-new “Friendtastic!” Parade, the largest ever in scale at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, take over and energize the entirety of Main Street.
The special 20th Anniversary edition of “Momentous” will elevate the magical party to new heights, offering an unforgettable climax to the day-to-night celebration.

New Giant Panda-themed Experiences
Pandamonium is set to take Hong Kong by storm! Two adorable giant pandas have joined Ocean Park’s beloved panda family alongside Ying Ying, Le Le and their newborn twins. Gifted by the Central Government, these new arrivals have won many hearts across the city.
Other activities include Giant Panda Poo Paper Workshop, Wowotou Studio and interative attractions such as Panda Wonders: An Illuminated Journey and The Cubs’ Channel.
