In a historic win, Hong Kong’s very own Bar Leone was named The World’s Best Bar, marking the first time an Asian bar has claimed the top spot. The event not only celebrated global excellence in mixology but also showcased Hong Kong’s thriving bar scene, reinforcing the city’s position as a leading destination for world-class cocktail experiences.

Hong Kong Named “Most Promising Muslim-friendly Destination of the Year”
CrescentRating and Mastercard announced the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2025, where Hong Kong rose to third place among “Muslim-friendly Destinations (non-OIC)” and was named the “Most Promising Muslim-friendly Destination of the Year.” The recognition reflects the city’s growing commitment to Muslim-friendly tourism, with several hotels, attractions, and convention venues also receiving accolades.

This platform served as a platform to showcase Hong Kong’s latest tourism offerings, foster business discussions, strengthen partnerships, and reinforce industry relationships.
Hong Kong MICE Trade Update
HKTB hosted a MICE Trade Luncheon in Cebu on 17 September, welcoming 75 travel trade from Cebu and neighboring cities and provinces. The event featured a Hong Kong-themed photo booth and a destination update presentation, showcasing Hong Kong’s upcoming mega events, latest developments, and MICE offerings—including the Hong Kong Rewards program available to travel trade partners.
