| Details: | 22 January 2020 marks the official opening of the Music Experience at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. The new zone takes celebrities, songs, trends and technology and merges them with the musical styles of different eras. Guests can immerse themselves in the interactive scenarios and become a true pop star on the stage.
Three themed areas with “Instagrammable” experiences Designed by Studio Cassells Limited, the all-new immersive musical journey takes you through three themed areas: Recording Studio, Talent Show, and 360° Concert. Four brand new interactive experiences have been added to the exhibit – visitors can take AR selfies with Lay Zhang, belt out songs in the recording booths, dance with Michael Jackson, and claim the stage as a superstar!
The new experience starts off amidst a mix of classic tunes, old-school vinyl and black and white photos that will transport visitors to the rock 'n' roll era of the 1950's. It then returns to modern times, where visitors can take AR selfies with super-popular Idol Lay Zhang, or take a mic and belt out favourite tunes with Jay Chou and G.E.M. during a studio session. They can join the King of Pop Michael Jackson on a monochrome stage to show off their moonwalking skills, and transform into the King of Dance with special AR effects. Last but not least is the 360° Concert, where visitors can perform alongside stars such as Jackson Wang, Jam Hsiao, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande!
Meet the world’s most famous music stars This iconic Music Experience brings together singing sensations such as Miriam Yeung, Leo Ku, Teresa Teng, Madonna, and Freddie Mercury. The All-Around Talent Jam Hsiao, clad in custom H&M, joins the line up with a new look, while the singer-songwriter Jackson Wang performs his hit single Different Game on the 360° stage.
“Music resonates with people. With this in mind, we have taken great care in the selection of songs and the design of the lighting, sets and decorations to transport visitors into an interactive world of music,” says Head of Marketing at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong BoBo Yu. “Our Selfie Gallery, which opened last year, is now an Instagram hot spot. The all-new Music Experience will further enhance your visit to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, giving you a taste of life as a celebrity and reminding you why this is a MUST SEE destination for all things trendy.”
