As a prominent cultural figure in Hong Kong, James Wong has left an indelible mark with his talent in lyrics, music and arrangements. His creative pursuits extend beyond just music, encompassing columns, filmmaking, ad creation, and stage performances. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a vast array of works, all characterised by their beautiful melodies and profound resonance with the people. Coinciding with pivotal stages in Hong Kong’s development, Wong has made a significant impact on the formation and changes of Hong Kong’s popular culture. This exhibition serves as a testament to the cultural integration in Wong’s works, showcasing how he translated traditional content into contemporary pop culture creations.
