Description: |
Conducted by Maestro Vasily Petrenko, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra opens the concert with an orchestral showpiece 'Kudasha-Duman' by Kazakhstani composer Erkegali Rakhmadiyev. Following this, Grieg's towering Piano Concerto will be performed by premier Ukrainian pianist Anna Fedorova. Celebrating the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner's birth, Maestro Vasily Petrenko returns to conduct arguably the composer's best-known symphony – The Seventh Symphony. The symphony not only brought Bruckner widespread international recognition, but it also serves as a tribute to his major musical influence, Richard Wagner. |
