HKTB Announces Provisional Visitor Arrivals for April


The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced that the provisional visitor arrivals for April was 3.4 million, a 20% year-on-year increase. Non-Mainland markets recorded an increase of more than 50% from the same period last year.

HKTB Welcomes the Expansion of Individual Visit Scheme Covering 59 Cities in Mainland


Dr. Pang Yiu-kai, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), thanked the Central Government for expanding the Individual Visit Scheme (IVS) to 8 Mainland cities from 27 May and expressed welcome to the arrangement, “The Central Government’s inclusion of the new cities in the IVS twice in three months reflects its full support and confidence to Hong Kong. It is also a gift for Hong Kong's tourism industry.”

HKTB May 11 Drone Show Soundly Concludes with Spectacles Gather along the Coast to Celebrate the Traditional Festivity


Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), the drone show on May 11 concluded successfully. The performance was themed around the traditional festivities of the Birthday of Buddha and the Cheung Chau Bun Festival to promote the local culture and spread blessings . Locals and visitors gathered along the coast in Wan Chai, creating a lively ambience.

In recent years, the Middle East has become an emerging tourism market that the world highly focused on. This month, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) launched a series of initiatives targeting the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, with a view to strengthening efforts to promote Hong Kong tourism in the source markets of the Middle East and attracting more travellers from the markets.

HKTB Reveals Details of Drone Show This Saturday A Celebration of Traditional Festival with Giant Bun Tower and “Lucky Buns” Sending Good Wishes from the Sky


Following its announcement of the upcoming drone show to be held on 11 May (this Saturday), the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) today released the details of the show, including the design. In celebration of the two major traditional festivities of the Birthday of Buddha and Cheung Chau Bun Festival next week, the show will be themed around the two festivals and will showcase the traditional features, adding festive ambience to the city and sending blessings to locals and visitors.
