HONG KONG EMBRACES NEW NORMS OF TRAVEL
The COVID-19 pandemic has grinded global travel to a halt and presented unprecedented challenges to Hong Kong'stourism. Public health conditions of destinations, hygiene standards of transportation, hotels and other tourism facilitiesare expected to take precedence.

In response, service providers in Hong Kong have unanimously stepped up in preparing for a post-pandemic world,including utilizing artificial intelligence and cleaning technologies in supplementing health and sanitation measures, ontop of other service touchpoints such as provision of hand sanitizers and face masks.

As the government allocates funding to support businesses' anti-epidemic efforts, the HKTB has also put together aninformational booklet to highlight how our tourism stakeholders are putting in place measures to make their facilities andthe whole city of Hong Kong safer than ever for our overseas visitors.
NEW RETAIL AND DINING OPTION
Tiffany & Co. Blue Box Café
Hong Kong is home to the firstBlue Box Café in Asia – only thesecond location in the world afterthe jewellery house's flagship inNew York City. MoMA Design Store
The Museum of Modern Art in NewYork is one of the world's largestand more influential museumsof modern art. The new HongKong outpost is MoMA's third andlargest in Asia. Blue Bottle Café
One of the world's most iconiccoffee brands finally has its firstoutpost in Hong Kong. Originallyfrom Oakland, California, thebrand is known for its minimalistaesthetics and New Orleans-stylediced coffee.

The Hong Kong store spans acrosstwo storeys, and is located right bythe Central Mid-Levels escalator.On the ground floor customerscan enjoy coffees as well as shopfor merchandise, while upstairsis where you'll find the famedpourover bar and chill out on oneof the leather-and-wood directorchairs.

Between 19 to 30 June, HKTBorganised a series of five webinarsacross Southeast Asia to providethe latest updates on tourismdevelopment and introduce someof the precautionary measurestaken by facilities providers andtourism stakeholders in responseto the coronavirus situation.

The webinar series were attendedby close to 700 representativesfrom travel agencies, airlinesand industry associations fromIndonesia, Malaysia, Philippines,Singapore and Thailand.
