I am writing to you to invite the participation of your company in driving business from the Russian market. Hong Kong welcomed some 186,000 visitors from Russia in 2012. In the first nine months this year, our arrivals from Russia reached 161,000, an increase of 25.1% compared to the same period last year. To capitalise on the growth momentum and the increased outbound trend in Russia, HKTB will again participate in the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) from 19 to 22 March 2014.
MITT is a key Russian travel exhibition, which provides a platform for overseas travel trade delegates to explore business opportunities with the Russian travel trade. The event attracted 74,000 visitors and over 3,000 companies from 198 destinations to exhibited in MITT 2013. HKTB has reviewed the value of attending this show and believe it attracts the right Russian business potential for our Hong Kong travel trade partners.
In our review of the value of MITT we concluded that we should continue the HKTB subsidisation scheme to make it even more cost effective for your organisation to attend. You are invited to take part in this trade show at the concessionary fee of HK$3,000 per company (maximum 2 participants) in the Hong Kong Pavilion in a shared meeting facility format, participation will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
In addition to providing the Hong Kong Pavilion HKTB is arranging business networking opportunities for the trade while in Moscow. Details will follow closer to the event, but it will provide an improved marketing platform for your organisation.
Please refer to the following for details and registration.
We look forward to your continuous support and participation.
Yours sincerely,
Peter Hoslin Regional Director Europe and New Markets
