Daily Arrivals to Hong Kong
Hong Kong received 21 million visitors in the first half of 2024, representing a 64% year-on-year increase and recovered 70% of 2018 level.
Monthly Arrivals to Hong Kong by Region
As of the first half of 2024, the overall Mainland arrivals’ recovery has reached 68% of pre-pandemic level. Non-Mainland has also recovered over 70% of pre-pandemic level.

For international markets, the recovery of Southeast Asia has maintained the fastest, among which Philippines has exceeded the pre-pandemic level.

The proportion of overnight visitors is slightly higher than pre-pandemic, while the length of stay has almost returned to pre-pandemic levels.

Per-capita spending has been dropping, mainly due to the decline in shopping spending. The spending behavior of visitors has changed where they become more rational and focused on experience.
