Events & Festivals

One of the best ways to appreciate Hong Kong’s

colourful festivals and living cultures is to join an

organised tour.

Tin Hau Festival Tour

Visit the Tin Hau Festival celebrations held at Yuen Long

for a colourful procession of dragon and lion dances in

the reserved seating area, and see the display of Fa

Pau, floral shrines by local villagers and worshippers.

Cheung Chau Bun Festival Tour

Watch the spectacular Piu Sik (Floating Colours) Parade

from reserved seating at the official grandstand on the

island of Cheung Chau. In front of the 200-year-old

Pak Tai Temple are the festival’s huge bun towers, and

decorative fishing boats dock at the typhoon shelter.

Buddha Festival Tour

Take part in the bathing ritual at the Po Lin Monastery

on Lantau Island to celebrate the birthday of the

Lord Buddha. Visitors can also enjoy martial arts

demonstrations by Shaolin monks and other cultural

performances. The tour includes a Buddhist vegetarian

meal and Ngong Ping cable car ride.

Dragon Boat Festival Tour

Experience the excitement of the Dragon Boat Festival

while watching amateur racing teams fiercely paddle

long narrow boats against each other. Reserved seating

included.

Chinese New Year Fireworks Display

Cruise

Catch all the excitement and glitz of the magnificent

Chinese New Year Fireworks Display on a Victoria

Harbour cruise. Marvelling at the show in the sky above

amidst the roar of the crowds on both sides of the

harbour is an unforgettable experience.
