Hong Kong Cultural Centre –

Officially opened in 1989,

this performing arts and exhibition venue comprises a

concert hall, a grand theatre and a studio theatre.

International Commerce Centre (ICC) & sky100

Hong Kong Observation Deck –

Located near the

West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, the ICC is an

integrated commercial and retail space with great

transportation convenience via MTR Kowloon Station

or the Airport Express. At 118 storeys, it is the tallest

skyscraper in Hong Kong. The ICC comprises 2.5

million square feet of office space, a million-square-foot

shopping mall (Elements), luxury hotels and residences.

At the 100th floor of ICC is the sky100 Hong Kong

Observation Deck, the highest indoor observation deck

in Hong Kong. It offers visitors a bird’s-eye vantage with

a 360-degree view, and is also home to a large-scale

interactive multi-media exhibit.

Kowloon Mosque and Islamic Centre –

Located beside

Nathan Road in a corner of Kowloon Park, this serene,

white-marbled building is Hong Kong’s largest mosque.

New Territories

AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) –

AsiaWorld-Expo is a world-

class exhibition and events venue offering over 70,000

square metres of rental space, with 10 state-of-the-art

ground level exhibition and events halls, including the

14,000-seat AsiaWorld-Arena, the biggest purpose-built

indoor seated entertainment arena in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau

Sha Tin Racecourse –

Opened in 1978, Sha Tin

Racecourse can hold about 83,000 spectators and

features the world’s largest Diamond Vision video

screen. Visitors can join an exciting horse racing tour

(see Tours, page

) during the racing season from

September to June or early July.

Tsing Ma Bridge –

The world’s longest road-and-

rail suspension bridge, the 2.2-kilometre (about 1.36-

mile) Tsing Ma Bridge is one of Hong Kong’s defining

landmarks. A viewing platform north of the bridge on

Tsing Yi Island provides excellent views of this and two

adjoining bridges.
