Museum Pass –

Make the most of Hong Kong’s diverse

range of museums with a Museum Weekly Pass. This

offers unlimited admission to selected major museums

(excluding some special exhibitions). Participating

museums include the Hong Kong Museum of History

and the Hong Kong Science Museum in Tsim Sha Tsui,

the Hong Kong Heritage Museum in Sha Tin, and the

Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence and the Dr

Sun Yat-sen Museum on Hong Kong Island. These

museums offer a rewarding experience of Hong Kong’s

amazing social and cultural legacy.

Hong Kong Island

City Gallery –

This gallery is the first planning and

infrastructure gallery in Hong Kong, showcasing the

planning proposals and infrastructure projects set by the

Hong Kong government. Try the touch screens and the

sound boxes to delve into the future and see what’s in

store for the region.

Edingburgh Place, Central

Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum –

This museum showcases the

epoch-making achievements of the revolutionary pioneer

Dr Sun Yat-sen, the founder of the Republic of China, with

exhibits such as clothes and personal manuscripts. Further

insights can be gleaned by following the Dr Sun Yat-sen

Historical Trail, which includes landmarks of his life during

his stay in Hong Kong.

Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum

Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware –

Housed in a

declared monument and one of Hong Kong’s oldest

surviving colonial buildings, this museum has an

excellent representative collection. It hosts exhibitions

on various aspects of Chinese tea and occasional

exhibitions of modern potters’ teaware.

Hong Kong Park, Central

Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware

Hong Kong Arts Centre: Pao Galleries –

Spread over

two floors, the Pao Galleries regularly exhibit the works

of famous international artists.

Harbour Road, Wan Chai

Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum –

This two-

storey museum houses 10 themed galleries exhibiting

over 600 correctional service artefacts and documents,

as well as a mock gallows, three mock cells and an

annex displaying products made by prisoners. A stroll

on the museum’s 200-square-metre platform offers a

good view of Tai Tam Bay.

Tung Tau Wan Road, Stanley

Hong Kong Film Archive –

This is a centre for

exhibitions and film retrospectives relating to Hong

Kong-made films. It includes four cold rooms for film

storage, workshops to restore films and photographic

materials, a 125-seat cinema, an exhibition hall, a

reference library and a research centre.
