Hong Kong Travel Missions to Russia and Turkey (25 & 27 June 2019)

In view of the growing importance and business potentials of Belt and Road countries, HKTB organised the first-ever Travel Missions to Russia and Turkey, the two countries with direct air connectivity and enjoy visa-free entries to Hong Kong. The delegation of 29 Hong Kong trade partners visited Moscow in Russia on 25 June and Istanbul in Turkey on 27 June.

92 Russian travel trade, including Aeroflot and S7 Airlines which have direct connectivity between Russia and Hong Kong, and 42 Turkish trade partners attended the business sessions to meet with Hong Kong trade. Networking dinners with key senior trade partners were also arranged to facilitate Hong Kong trade partners reaching more potential buyers.

During the events, Hong Kong’s diverse year-round of exciting events and Old Town Central district promotion, as well as new infrastructures such as Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge and the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link were highlighted. The PartnerNet platform and Hong Kong Specialist online training programme, which are specially designed for travel trade partners, were also introduced.
