Major Marketing Activities

Promoted CNY 2024 in partnership with Tripoto

Partnered with the Tripoto, the leading travel platform in India, to launch a captivating campaign promoting Lunar New Year celebrations in Hong Kong. Leveraging its robust social media channels, the joint campaign showcased the vibrant cultural experiences and festivities that awaited Indian travellers. With a branded article, strategic advertising, and eye-catching promotional banners, Tripoto and HKTB aimed to inspire the audience to explore the unique blend of Chinese and Western influences that made Hong Kong an irresistible destination during this auspicious time of year.


HKTB’s Participation in SATTE, Delhi NCR (22 - 24 February 2024)

HKTB participated at the SATTE 2024 between 22 - 24 February 2024 to provide a networking and contracting opportunities for the Hong Kong trade partners to introduce their products, services and offers to their Indian counterparts; and educate the Indian trade partners about the latest destination developments - new experiences, themes, attractions, enhancements, and venues. SATTE is India’s largest travel and tourism exhibition organised by the Informa Markets at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida in Delhi National Capital Region drawing over 35,000 trade attendees. 27 Hong Kong partners (6 attractions, 4 Hotels, 1 Airlines and 16 DMCs) joined the Hong Kong pavilion.


HKTB Travel Trade Workshops in South India (21 - 22 March 2024)

HKTB India organised destination updates in Chennai and Bengaluru in collaboration with key industry stakeholders to support the resumption of direct flights from South India. The Destination Hong Kong Updates were hosted for the key outbound trade players in these two primary source cities in South India; and Hong Kong trade partners were given presentation slots to introduce their Hong Kong products and offers. The B2B initiative provided networking opportunities for the trade partners with the Indian trade buyers in South India. Total seven Hong Kong partners including Air India, Cathay Pacific, IndiGo, Ngong Ping 360, Resort World Cruises, Royal Caribbean Group and Tata-SIA Vistara joined the events in both cities. We received an encouraging response from the local trade partners with 107 attendees in Chennai and 84 attendees in Bengaluru.


Club Vistara Escapades: Hong Kong Campaign

Vistara Airlines is India’s premier full cost airline and was launching daily flights from Delhi to Hong Kong. To promote this new route and Hong Kong as a destination, HKTB collaborated with them to support a video production in Hong Kong. The production was part of Vistara’s video series – Club Vistara Escapades – where Club Vistara members (their loyalty program) had a chance to win tickets to any destination Vistara was flying to. Their experience was filmed and showcased as a story driven video on YouTube and other platforms. HKTB hosted the winners of Club Vistara Escapades with an itinerary showcasing the best of Hong Kong including a helicopter ride to see the skyline, a Dukling experience, a VIP visit to Disneyland, a crystal cable car ride at Ngong Ping and a Micheline starred lunch and Dim Sum Making workshop. The final 15-minute video garnered 2.1 million views on YouTube. The experiences of the winners were shared on their respective social media handles as well as Club Vistara’s. Further, the video was included in Vistara Airlines in-flight entertainment system, and a write up was included in their in-flight magazine.


Media Co-op with Travel and Leisure Magazine for Arts in Hong Kong

HKTB partnered with Travel and Leisure Magazine, one of Asia’s premier premium travel publications in India, to showcase the range of experiences available in Hong Kong for Arts in Hong Kong. The campaign was executed through a variety of innovative formats such as Instagram takeovers, vertical web stories on the Travel and Leisure website, native articles and mini articles/ picture stories on Instagram. The campaign focused on arts in Hong Kong including Art Basel, Art Central, outdoor art installations, street art and movie filming locations.


MICE TRAVEL MART, NEW DELHI (12 January 2024) & MUMBAI (30 May 2024)

The MEHK participated in MTM, a premier, closed-door meeting platform for one-on-one meetings with reverse marketplace to connect Indian MICE buyers - corporates. The daylong events offered MEHK India team an opportunity to interact with corporate MICE buyers, who are keen to initiate destination consideration for Hong Kong in 2024/2025. Totally 65 meetings were conducted during the New Delhi event in January 2024, that allowed us to capture 21 potential leads of over 7,000 pax. In Mumbai, 66 meetings were coordinated on 30 May 2024, generating 17 potential leads of over 5,000 pax.
