PARTNERSHIP AND TRADE EVENTS (January - July 2024)
The international MICE market continues to steadily grow. As it stabilises, HKTB continues to strategically engage with top partners via outreach, participation in domestic trade shows and conventions, as well as a long-term outreach programme to build on brand awareness and keep planners apprised with Hong Kong’s latest updates and MICE campaigns.
- SMU International – New York City, NY - 10 - 12 March 2024
- This MICE trade event is specifically targeted towards buyers that source internationally. Hosted by Northstar Meeting Group in NYC annually, this year had 425 attendees (160 buyers) and HKTB had 29 total meetings and 19 leads.
- Consensus 2024 Austin – Pre-Promotion for Consensus Hong Kong 2025, Austin, TX, 29 May - 1 June 2024
- HKTB attended Consensus in Austin at the end of May as part of our pre-promotion efforts and this 3-day event was attended by 15,000 participants globally
- All went well at this busy event and there was a lot of positive interest, as NSL inquiries were rare. There was plenty of engagement and networking at the scheduled Hong Kongdelegation meetup and our announcement of ticket sales during one of the panels for the upcoming Consensus Hong Kong in February 2025 was well received
- AMCs Engaged – Montreal, Canada, 30 - 31 July 2024
- HKTB’s strategic partnership entitlements included free of charge registration to attend this networking event in which 140 registrants attended, with more than half of them being attendees responsible for, collectively, hundreds of associations.

MICE e-Newsletters

HKTB continues to engage top partners throughout the year with direct e-blasts that cover a plethora of Hong Kong’s most recent happenings (Hong Kong wins, upcoming trade show attendance, and Hong Kong special events and MICE PR coverage and updates), as well as how they can tie in with the best MICE itineraries, and MEHK LinkedIn page subscriptions. Sent out to about 1,300 contacts with an average open rate of 26%.
