From Hong Kong International

Airport

MTR Airport Express

The fastest way to get downtown is by the MTR Airport

Express train. Running from 5:54am to 0:48am, it

departs every 10 minutes and takes about 24 minutes

to reach MTR Hong Kong Station in Central. Travellers

can obtain an Airport Express Travel Pass for one or

two single Airport Express train journeys and three

consecutive days of unlimited MTR rides. The pass is

available at all MTR or Airport Express stations, or via

Airbus

This bus service has several routes (all prefixed with the

letter A) serving districts of the New Territories, Kowloon

and Hong Kong Island, with stops close to a number

of hotels. Signs at the airport bus terminus state which

hotels are served and the fare (HK$15-48). Tickets can

be obtained at the ticketing counter located near the

bus terminus, or paid on the bus with exact fare or by

Octopus card.

Hotel Transfers

Hotel shuttle buses operate from the Coach Station in

Terminal 2 while limousines can be accessed from the

Hotel & Travel Agent Limousine Lounge in Terminal 1.

Those with a hotel booking that includes airport transfer

can check at the Hong Kong Hotels Association Hotel

Reservation Centre inside the Buffer Hall immediately

after Customs, or look for their travel agent or the hotel

pick-up counters in the Meeters and Greeters Hall on

the Arrivals Level.

Getting Around Hong Kong

Mass Transit Railway (MTR)

The MTR has been providing safe, reliable and efficient

transport around Hong Kong since 1979. It has 87

stations, 68 light rail stops, and operates nine main

commuter lines serving Hong Kong Island, Kowloon

and the New Territories. Visitors can get an Adult/Child

Tourist Day Pass for any one day of unlimited travel on

the MTR and Light Rail. MTR also operates the Airport

Express, a dedicated express rail link to Hong Kong

International Airport and AsiaWorld-Expo.

Octopus Card

This handy stored-value card provides an easy way

to pay for almost all public transport, including buses,

MTR, trams, the Peak Tram, and Star Ferry. It can

also be used in convenience stores, fast food shops,

supermarkets, cake shops, vending machines and

more. Visitors can choose an On-loan Standard

Octopus card with a refundable deposit of HK$50 or
