From classy cocktails in a trendy bar to live

entertainment and late-night snacks, Hong Kong offers

a dazzling array of choices for night owls.

Hong Kong Island

Central and SoHo –

The territory’s financial district also

offers some chic nightspots, particularly in the famous

Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo. Lan Kwai Fong is a home

to more than 90 bars and restaurants featuring many

styles of cuisine. A short ride away up the world’s

longest covered escalator is SoHo, with its wide range

of exotic dining spots and bars.

SoHo

Wan Chai –

A popular drinking and dining destination,

Wan Chai boasts many relatively inexpensive

restaurants, as well as a cluster of pubs, nightclubs and

hostess bars around Lockhart, Jaffe and Luard roads.

Starstreet Precinct and the nearby area including Ship

Street, The East and Wing Fung Street are lined with

stylish galleries, cosy cafés and flagship restaurants.

Nightlife

Kowloon

Jordan and Yau Ma Tei –

To the north of Kowloon Park,

the shops and fast-food restaurants continue, but the

atmosphere becomes more distinctly Chinese. The

Temple Street Night Market is a favourite destination

for late-night bargain hunting, fortune-telling and

Cantonese opera, while claypot rice, seafood, noodles

and other treats are consumed with gusto at outdoor

food stalls.

Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East –

The area

along Nathan Road abounds in nightclubs, pubs,

cinemas, shopping centres, and restaurants of all

types. Bars and restaurants at Knutsford Terrace,

Knutsford Steps, Observatory Court, Hart Avenue, Prat

Avenue and Tsim Sha Tsui East offer everything from

Caribbean cocktails to Spanish tapas.
